Propolis is a resinous substance produced by bees by harvesting resins from the flora around the hive, and mixed with enzymes present in their saliva.
The composition, colour and taste of propolis varies according to its botanical origin. That is, it depends on the existing vegetation in the surroundings where the hive is installed, and it may present green, brown, red or yellowish coloring.
The antibiotic and antimicrobial properties that guarantee the protection and preservation of the hive were already known since antiquity.
Among the diversity of propolis available in Brazil, the propolis Verde, produced in the State of Minas Gerais stands out for the presence of Artepellin-C, a substance from Baccharis Dracunculifolia, a bush popularly known as field rosemary or broom.
This propolis, in addition to the known antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and other properties, already widely known, also has anticancer properties, making it a real gem.
Our 26,000 hives are located in the best green propolis producing region in the entire state of Minas Gerais, 1.000m above sea level, in mountainous areas, unsuitable for agriculture.

Each batch of received Green Propolis is analyzed in our laboratories to verify the quality, measurement of quantities of total flavonoids, para-coumaric acid and Artepillin-C.
